President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, has reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to tackling insecurity and reviving the economy, expressing sorrow over recent violent incidents and assuring Nigerians of decisive government action to restore peace and stability.

Tinubu stated this in his Easter message to Christians in Nigeria and globally.

He described Easter as a sacred period that calls for reflection on the core values of the Christian faith—sacrifice, love, redemption, and hope. He acknowledged the significance of Jesus Christ’s crucifixion and resurrection, noting that its message of triumph and renewal inspires his leadership goals.

“As President of our blessed nation, I draw inspiration from this timeless message of hope and renewal,” Tinubu said. “I remain steadfast in my commitment to delivering the promise of a Renewed Hope—a better, more just, and prosperous Nigeria for all.”

He revealed that he had issued clear directives to the Armed Forces and security agencies to decisively end the spate of insecurity.

“The forces of evil will never prevail over our country,” he stated, adding that the military is already making “steady progress” in reclaiming peace.

President Tinubu also acknowledged the economic hardships many Nigerians are facing, but assured citizens that efforts are underway to restore investor confidence and stabilize key sectors.
“We are working tirelessly to build an inclusive economy that serves the interests of all Nigerians,” he said.

In his message, the President also extended prayers for the continued recovery of Pope Francis, thanking God for the Pontiff’s improving health and leadership.

Calling for unity and collective resolve, Tinubu urged Nigerians to remain hopeful, declaring that “just as Christ triumphed over death, so too shall our country triumph over every challenge.”

“May the risen Christ bless our homes with peace and our nation with continued unity and prosperity,” the message concluded.
