Nigerian music icon Innocent Idibia, popularly known as 2Baba, has spoken out against widespread speculation about his personal life, calling out false narratives surrounding his relationship with Edo lawmaker Natasha Osawaru.
Following his recent visit to the Edo State House of Assembly, social media was abuzz with claims linking the singer romantically to Osawaru. Many questioned the nature of their relationship, especially in light of his recent separation from his wife, actress Annie Macaulay-Idibia.
In a video shared on Tuesday night, 2Baba directly addressed the controversy, expressing frustration over what he described as “malicious nonsense” circulating online. While confirming his relationship with Osawaru, he also defended her against allegations of being a homewrecker, insisting that she had been unfairly targeted by public opinion.
“To Whom It May Concern. #I do yarn my truth. Feel free to continue alleging. We shall all be alright. Natasha is a young, brilliant, and amazing woman who has been unfairly labelled as a home breaker,” he said.
The singer emphasized that Annie was fully aware of the situation, implying that there was no bad blood between them despite the public uproar. However, his declaration has further fueled debates among fans and critics, with many questioning the timing of his new relationship.
As discussions continue, 2Baba remains resolute, stating that he refuses to be swayed by online speculation, urging people to focus on facts rather than assumptions.
