The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has adjusted the date for the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) mock test, shifting it from April 5 to April 10, 2025.
The change is aimed at improving the examination process and accommodating recent innovations introduced by the Board.
In a statement released on Monday, JAMB’s spokesperson, Fabian Benjamin, emphasized that the decision aligns with efforts to enhance the examination’s credibility and efficiency. He noted that the board is incorporating new measures to improve candidate experience and ensure a seamless exercise across its expanding network of test centers.
“The adjustment aims to ensure that all necessary preparations are completed, incorporating a variety of innovations and enhancements designed to make this examination one of the best in history, while also accommodating the increased number of examination centres for the 2025 exercise.” Benjamin stated.
JAMB further assured candidates that the changes will not affect the main UTME, which is scheduled to commence on April 25, 2025. The board also urged registered candidates to await further details regarding the printing of their Mock Notification Slip, which will indicate their assigned test centers.
The UTME mock exam is designed to familiarize candidates with the Computer-Based Test (CBT) system and identify potential technical challenges before the main examination. JAMB reiterated its commitment to refining its examination methodologies in line with global best practices.
