Ahead of the 2025 Annual General Conference of the NBA Women Forum, the FCT State Lead, Hajiya Hadiza Afegbua, Esq., led a high-powered delegation to the Office of the President of the Nigerian Bar Association, Mazi Afam Osigwe, SAN.
In her address, Afegbua highlighted the significant strides made since assuming office in November last year, with unprecedented expansion and impact across NBA branches in the FCT. She emphasized the forum’s commitment to advancing the professional development of female lawyers and ensuring greater participation in the legal community.
Responding, NBA President, Mazi Afam Osigwe, SAN, commended Afegbua’s leadership and the forum’s remarkable progress. Joined by key NBA executives—including General Secretary, Dr. Mobolaji Ojibara, Esq.; Treasurer, Mrs. Blessing Imo Udofa-Poromon; and Senior Advocate of Nigeria, Mr. Johnny Agim—he reaffirmed the NBA’s commitment to supporting female lawyers nationwide.
The president also charged the FCT State Lead to ensure that delegates for the upcoming conference are well received and that the event is a resounding success.
The NBA Women Forum’s 2025 Annual General Conference is set to take place in Abuja from the 29th to 30th of April, 2025, with the theme: “From Promise to Action: Achieving Gender Parity for Lasting Change.”
