Kogi State Governor, Usman Ododo has attributed the state’s relative peace and freedom from terrorism to the adoption of servant leadership in his administration.
Speaking at the APC Secretariat in Abuja on Thursday, Ododo asserted that criminal elements attempting to relocate from the Northeast and Northwest to Kogi are swiftly repelled.
“They come in their numbers and go back in zeros,” Ododo stated confidently. “We don’t make noise; we deal with them decisively.”
“Our administration in Kogi has adopted the principle of servant leadership, and this has resonated deeply with our people,” he said.
While reflecting on his time in office, Governor Ododo emphasized the achievements of his administration over the past 14 months, noting that they have made notable progress in strengthening security, enhancing agricultural output, advancing infrastructure, and improving access to social services throughout the state.
Praising the party’s role, he added, “These modest but impactful achievements have strengthened the credibility of our party and deepened public trust in our government.”
On the subject of inclusivity, the governor emphasized the growing influence of young people and women
“Our inclusive governance model, which prioritizes youth and women participation in leadership, is yielding great dividends. We have created a new generation of decision-makers, infused fresh ideas into governance, and given hope to a large number of our population.”
He further noted the political advantage of this approach: “This approach has further endeared the APC to the people of Kogi State and positioned us strongly for an even better performance in the 2027 general elections.”
Also Speaking, APC National Chairman Dr. Abdullahi Ganduje commended Ododo’s work, saying: “You are a confluence of age, energy, and achievement,” Ganduje said. “Your administration reflects the intellectual foundation of our party, and we are proud of your strides in Kogi State.”
