The Zamfara State Chairman of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Kabiru Garba, has extended an invitation to Governor Dauda Lawal to defect from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to the ADC, citing the party’s commitment to justice, fairness, and equal opportunity.
During a press conference in Gusau, Garba disclose that over 100 political actors from various parties in Zamfara have already joined the ADC,
He emphasized the party’s openness to all defectors, stating, “We want to extend a formal invitation to Gov. Dauda Lawal to join the party to bring more development to the state. Doors are widely open to receive all defectors irrespective of their positions.”
Garba attributed the influx of new members to the leadership qualities demonstrated by the ADC, highlighting the party’s focus on grassroots politics. He noted that new members are being oriented on the party’s doctrines to ensure alignment with its constitution.
He further advised that all intended defectors should initiate their transition through their ward leadership before progressing to local government and state levels, emphasizing the importance of grassroots engagement in reflecting the electorate’s mandate.
