Veteran filmmaker Kunle Afolayan has spilled the beans on his reported feud with actress Funke Akindele over a role in his hit film Aníkúlápó.
Speaking on Arise TV, Afolayan revealed that Akindele demanded a whopping ₦3.5 million per scene to play Queen Arolake, a fee he deemed too steep.
Afolayan said he was forced to look elsewhere, casting another actress in the role.
Despite their paths crossing at industry events, communication between the two broke down post-production.
The drama escalated when Afolayan congratulated Akindele on a recent success, only to be met with a cold shoulder.
“She asked me not to speak to her or mention her name again,” Afolayan said.
