First Lady Oluremi Tinubu is expected in Ogun State on Tuesday for the launch of the Zonal National Community Food Bank programme aimed at supporting vulnerable and indigent residents.
The initiative will begin in Makun, Sagamu, where the First Lady is expected to lead the distribution of food items to beneficiaries.
According to the Special Adviser to the Ogun State Governor on Information and Strategy, Kayode Akinmade, the visit will also feature the commissioning of key projects across the state.
Among them is the 108-unit Muhammadu Buhari Estate in Kobape, Abeokuta.
Oluremi is also scheduled to commission the Gateway Medical Centre of Excellence, a 250-bed hospital in Abeokuta designed to provide advanced healthcare services to residents of Ogun and neighbouring communities.
The First Lady is expected to meet with major stakeholders at the June 12 Cultural Centre in Kuto, Abeokuta, as part of her engagements during the visit.
The visit is expected to deepen cooperation between the Federal and Ogun State governments, particularly in social welfare, housing and healthcare.
It will also form part of ongoing efforts to expand social intervention programmes and improve access to essential services for vulnerable households.
