The Senior Pastor of The Fountain of Life Church, Ilupeju, Lagos and Nollywood actor, Jimmy Odukoya, has set social media abuzz following a cryptic post that many have interpreted as an engagement announcement.
In a close-up photograph shared on his verified Instagram account on Friday, October 30, 2026, the cleric displayed his hand resting on a woman’s hand adorned with a large diamond engagement ring. He captioned the post simply, “TO NEW BEGINNINGS ❤️”
The post has triggered mixed reactions online, with many followers congratulating him, while others expressed confusion over his marital status.
Odukoya, who is the first son of the late Pastors Taiwo and Bimbo Odukoya, is known to have married Oluwakemi Sade Banjoko, popularly known as Kemi Odukoya, in London in March 2013. The union is blessed with two children.
However, reports indicate that the union ended some years ago, prior to Odukoya assuming the role of General Overseer of the church founded by his late parents. Details surrounding the end of the marriage have not been publicly disclosed.
According to reports, Odukoya has not publicly identified the woman in the photograph or provided further details about the post, leaving the identity of his apparent new partner private. As of the time of filing this report, he had not offered any further explanation beyond the photo and its caption.
The development is coming against the backdrop of another high-profile marital transition within the Odukoya family. Jimmy Odukoya’s elder sister, Pastor Toluwani Odukoya-Ijogun, popularly known as Pastor Tolu Odukoya, who serves as Associate Senior Pastor of the church, publicly confirmed the end of her own marriage in October 2025.
She disclosed that she and her then-husband, Olumide Ijogun, whom she married in 2012, had been separated since around 2021.
Pastor Jimmy Odukoya, who is also known for his acting career and motivational speaking, has maintained a relatively private personal life in recent years.
