AFCON 2023-Nwabali honoured with chieftancy title in Rivers State

The traditional ruler of Mgbede community, Nzeobi Amida has given a chieftaincy title to the Super Eagles Goalkeeper, Stanley Nwabali in Egbema Kingdom, Rivers State.

 Each Player and Officials of the Nigerian Super Eagles were honoured by President Bola Tinubu with Member of the Order of the Niger National Award on Tuesday for Securing the Sliver medal .

Following his performance at the recent concluded 2023 African Cup of Nations in Cote D’Ivoire, Nwabali was awarded N20m and the honour of Distinguished Service Star of Rivers State by the Governor of Rivers State, Siminalayi Fubara on Friday.

  A Nigerian Sport Website, BSN, Nwabali was presented a chieftaincy title yesterday in Egbema Kingdom adding to the number of award giving to the Rivers State Star for his resilience and Outstanding performance as  Super Eagles Goalkeeper at AFCON 2023

The Chairman ONELGA Council of Chiefs, Amuda said the title, Ugo Egbema “The Pride of Egbema Kingdom” was given to the Rivers-born Nwabali for bringing honour to his hometown and the ONELGA during his outstanding performance at the AFCON Game.
