Protesters hit the streets of Mokola, Ibadan , in oyo state due to hike in food prices on Monday.
The protesters sang songs that describe what they are going through , they were also seen to carry placards with various write ups like ‘End food hike and inflation,
“The poor are starving “ “No more Emilokan”, the protesters chanted.
The protest was shared on different social media platforms in the country.
The peaceful rally was against the economic hardship occasioned by the removal of petrol subsidy, and the unification of the foreign exchange windows, and high cost of living.
The police on Sunday had warned that no breach of peace would be allowed during any protest in the state.
