In a bid to conclude the cut-off mark for Admission in all tertiary institutions, the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board(JAMB), has scheduled a meeting with All Vice-chancellors of Universities, Rectors of Polytechnics, and Provosts of Colleges of Education to meet on July 18, 2024.
Recall that on April 29, 2024, JAMB released the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination results.
Out of the 1,904,189 candidates who sat for the examination, 8,401 scored 300 and above; 77,070 scored 250 and above; 439,974 scored 200 and above, with 1,402,490 scoring below 200 pass mark.
The memo which was released in Abuja is as follows , “During the exercise, the Registrar will present reports on the just-concluded Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination and the ongoing Direct Entry applications.
While also analysing key performance indicators that could shape the policy directions of the government in the area of admission.
“The meeting would appraise stakeholders of the salient issues that cropped up in the previous years’ admission exercise. In addition, the policy meeting would also look at the performance of candidates in the current year’s UTME to determine the year’s minimum admissible score.”
