The Lagos State Police Command has declared Dr. Idara Bassey wanted in connection with the death of 36-year-old Abiola, who died during a buttocks enlargement procedure at a clinic in Lekki Phase 1.
The police spokesperson Benjamin Hundeyin made this known.
He said: “We are currently on the hunt for Dr. Bassey, who is considered a suspect in this case, she’s on the run, and we urge anyone with information on her whereabouts to come forward.”
Abiola had visited the clinic for a Brazilian Butt Lift procedure, which took a fatal turn after a nurse allegedly administered an injection on Bassey’s orders. The nurse has been arrested, but Bassey remains at large.
“The public needs to be aware of the risks involved in such procedures,” Hundeyin warned. “We will do everything in our power to ensure that justice is served in this case.”
