Former Heartland coach Hassan Abdallah has urged the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) to consider inviting Montpellier striker Akor Adams to the Super Eagles.
Despite Adams’ impressive goal-scoring form in Ligue 1 and his past involvement with Nigeria’s U20 team at the 2019 FIFA U20 World Cup, he has yet to receive a call-up to the senior national team.
In an interview with Brila FM, Abdallah praised Akor’s physical prowess and his ability to disrupt opposition defenses, stating that his qualities would be valuable for the Super Eagles. Abdallah, who previously scouted both Adams and current Super Eagles forward Victor Boniface, highlighted the distinct strengths each player brings to the game.
“I scouted Victor Boniface and Akor Adams. Boniface is good because of his height, ball-holding ability, and dribbling, which is why I converted him into a point man,” Abdallah told Brila FM.
“Akor, on the other hand, has more strength than Boniface. He can bully defenders, but his intelligence is 50-50.
“When Akor is played between central defenders, they don’t move forward; they have to wait. I’ve expected them to invite him to the national team because he has been doing well.”
