The Bauchi State Governor Bala Mohammed has appointed three former commissioners as special advisers, just 48 hours after relieving them of their duties. The new appointments, announced on Tuesday, take immediate effect and reflect the governor’s commitment to effective leadership and developmental goals.
The three appointees are, Abdulhameed Bununu, Former Commissioner for Internal Security and Home Affairs, now Special Adviser on Multilateral Coordination and Regional Integration, Usman Danturaki, Former Commissioner for Information and Communication, now Special Adviser on Labour Matters and Contributory Pension Scheme,Madugu Yalams ,Former Commissioner for Agriculture, now Special Adviser on Technical and Vocational Education.
Governor Mohammed urged the appointees to leverage their experience and expertise to contribute to the state’s development, emphasizing the need for diligence, transparency, and a focus on improving the lives of Bauchi State citizens. This move comes after the governor reshuffled his cabinet and sacked five commissioners earlier on Tuesday, citing the need to reinvigorate governance and ensure optimal service delivery.
The statement added, “Governor Mohammed urges the appointees to bring their wealth of experience, dedication, and expertise in their respective fields to contribute significantly towards the attainment of the Governor’s vision for Bauchi State.
“He calls on them to discharge their responsibilities with diligence, transparency, and renewed focus on improving the lives of the people of Bauchi State.”
