In order to commemorate the 40th birthday of Barrister Seyi Tinubu, son of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Christian youth leaders have unveiled a nationwide initiative to distribute one million copies of the Holy Bible.
The project, launched at a thanksgiving service in Abuja, is designed to inspire moral rebirth and strengthen ethical leadership among young Nigerians
The event, coordinated by Hon. Belusochukwu Enwere, National Chairman of the Youth Wing of the Christian Association of Nigeria (YOWICAN), brought together clerics, youth leaders, and Christian faithful from across the country.
Enwere explained that the initiative transcends personal celebration, describing it as a faith-driven investment in the nation’s moral rebirth.
“This is not merely a tribute to an individual,” he said. “It is a gift to the body of Christ and a deliberate step towards nurturing integrity, compassion, and love for humanity among Nigerian youths.”
The thanksgiving service was simultaneously observed in about 40 churches nationwide, with prayers offered for the Tinubu family and for Nigeria’s peace and unity.
Rev. Ini Ukpuho, Chaplain of the National Christian Centre, who led special prayers during the Abuja service, described the Bible-sharing effort as “timely and necessary,” especially amid growing concerns over the decline of moral and spiritual values in the country.
In a goodwill message delivered on his behalf, Seyi Tinubu expressed appreciation to the organisers, affirming that faith-based education and moral discipline remain essential pillars for building a responsible and united society.
The first phase of the Bible distribution is expected to begin in the coming weeks through churches, schools, and youth ministries across the federation.
