U.S. President Donald Trump touched down in Israel on Monday, marking a significant diplomatic moment as the first group of Israeli hostages freed from Gaza returned home after two years in captivity.
Air Force One landed at Ben Gurion Airport, where President Trump was greeted with full honors on a red carpet by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and President Isaac Herzog. The visit comes amid a wave of relief and emotion in Israel following the hostages’ release.

President Trump emphasized U.S. solidarity with Israel, stating, “The United States stands shoulder to shoulder with Israel in the pursuit of peace and the safe return of all its citizens.”
The freed hostages, who had been held in Gaza for two years, were reunited with their families earlier in the day, sparking scenes of celebration across the country.
