The Federal Ministry of Education has launched EduRevamp, a mobile-based professional development platform designed to improve teacher competence and learning outcomes across Nigeria.
The initiative was announced on Tuesday by the Minister of Education, Dr. Tunji Alausa, who described EduRevamp as a homegrown solution built by Nigerians to meet the specific needs of Nigerian teachers and classrooms.
“We’re proud to launch EduRevamp a mobile-based professional development platform built by Nigerians, for Nigerian teachers, and designed for Nigerian classrooms,” Alausa said.
According to the minister, the platform aligns with the Nigeria Education Sector Reform Initiative (NESRI) 6-Point Agenda, particularly in the area of Education Quality Assurance, and is aimed at equipping teachers with digital skills, structured learning resources and access to a supportive professional community.
He noted that the initiative reflects the commitment of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, to strengthening the education sector and supporting teachers as key drivers of national development.
EduRevamp features audio and video lessons, text-based learning modules, real classroom case studies, national certification and Continuous Professional Development (CPD) stipends, all accessible via mobile devices.
“With audio and video lessons, text-based learning, real classroom case studies, national certification and CPD stipends, EduRevamp is improving teacher competence and learning outcomes across Nigeria,” the minister stated.
He added that the platform represents a major step towards empowering teachers, improving education quality and transforming learning outcomes nationwide.
