President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has congratulated Zamfara State Governor, Dauda Lawal, on his birthday, commending his administration’s efforts in infrastructure, education, healthcare and industrial development across the state.
The congratulatory message was contained in a statement issued on Wednesday, September 2, 2026, and signed by Bayo Onanuga, Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy.
Tinubu described Lawal as a “Renaissance governor” who has brought positive change to Zamfara, particularly through his infrastructure and urban renewal projects as well as his industrialisation drive.
The President also commended the governor for extending his administration’s focus beyond infrastructure to human capital development.
According to Tinubu, Lawal’s administration has rehabilitated more than 800 schools, recruited over 2,000 teachers, upgraded hospitals and provided medical supplies across the state.
Tinubu said the governor’s multi sectoral approach to governance was appropriate for achieving holistic development, particularly in human capital.
As Lawal marks his birthday, the President joined his family, friends and the people of Zamfara in wishing him good health and renewed strength as he continues to serve the state and the country.
