Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde is urging Nigerians to make their voices heard. In a final push ahead of Saturday’s election, Makinde emphasized that this is a critical moment for the people of Ondo State to demand good governance and drive real change.

“It’s time for Nigerians to rally behind the PDP as the party that can help Nigeria overcome the economic challenges it faces,” Makinde stated in a newsletter titled “It’s Time to Make a Bold Statement.” He encouraged everyone in Ondo State to come out and make a bold statement in the election, stressing that the PDP is the party that can rescue Nigeria from its current economic woes.

Makinde pointed to the success of PDP-governed states as evidence of the party’s ability to deliver development across the country.

He highlighted his own state’s Budget of Economic Stabilisation, presented just yesterday, as a “people-first budget” that promises more infrastructure development, educational projects, and economic progress for the people of Oyo State.

The Ondo State election, scheduled for November 16, 2024, is a crucial test for Nigerians to demonstrate their desire for change. Incumbent APC governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa is running for election against 16 other candidates, including PDP’s Agboola Ajayi

Makinde’s call to action is clear: “Let all supporters of good governance stand up and say enough of the APC and its lack of people-centred policies.”
