The All Progressives Congress (APC) has officially confirmed Prince Nicholas Ukachukwu as its flagbearer for the November 2025 gubernatorial election in Anambra State. Ukachukwu secured a landslide victory in the primary election, garnering 1,455 votes.

The APC National Working Committee (NWC) endorsed the primary election report during its weekly meeting, praising Governor Bassey Otu and the election committee for a transparent and credible process.

In a press release signed by the Publicity Secretary Felix Morka, APC National Chairman Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje disclosed that Ukachukwu’s victory marks a significant win for the APC in Anambra State. Ganduje emphasized that the successful primary has laid to rest the issue of disunity within the party, stating, “The longstanding issue of disunity within our party in Anambra has been laid to rest. With this successful primary, we now have a united front.”

Dr. Ganduje presented Ukachukwu with the party’s Certificate of Return, urging stakeholders to rally behind him for the November 8 election. “We want all stakeholders, particularly the other aspirants and their supporters, to work for the Party’s victory in the November 8, 2025 Anambra state gubernatorial election,” he stated.

Ukachukwu expressed gratitude to the party leadership and pledged to bring Anambra into mainstream national politics, unlocking greater federal benefits for the state. He also dismissed concerns about incumbent Governor Chukwuma Soludo’s popularity, attributing Soludo’s previous victory to coalition support.
