The Academic Staff Union of Universities ASUU has revealed that there will soon be another round of strike in universities.
This was disclosed during the National Executive Committee, NEC, meeting held at the University of Ibadan, Oyo State on Monday. Where it was stated that ASUU, has served a strike notice on the federal government, stating that the notice is to tie loose ends and make a formal declaration of strike be in line with labour laws.
Recall that the Minister of Education, Prof. Tahir Mamman, had on June 26 met with ASUU leaders to address the issues and prevent the planned strike.
