The National President of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW), Alhaji Ibikunle Tajudeen BARUWA, has described as formidable, result-oriented and laudable the giant strides of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on his many transformation activities which ranges from road infrastructure to security and healthcare.

BARUWA made this known in Abuja during a chat with the media.

“Bola Ahmed Tinubu, whom I know from Lagos as a reformer right from his days as governor of the state, has again taken this initiative to the Federal level which requires our support and patience. His achievements are there to be seen.

Look at the rehabilitation of the Third Mainland Bridge, Carter Bridge ongoing, Lagos-Calabar Super Highway, Lagos-Badagry-Sokoto-Kebbi Super Highway, primary healthcare centres in places across Nigeria, offsetting of our IMF loan, onslaught against non-state actors in the Northeast, North Central and Northwest.

As a transporter, my priority is good roads which our vehicles can move on and it has started.

I want to also commend the Ministers of Works and State, Engr. Dave Umahi and Barr. Bello Goronyo, for working tirelessly to actualise the four legacy project point of this administration.

I want to call on Mr President to also do more for the transport sector. God bless Nigeria.”

President Tinubu also distributed CNG vehicles for commercial transport so as to ease difficulties faced in transportation. All these are achievements that deserves commendation.
