The Bauchi State Government has announced June 2025 edition of the National Immunisation Plus Days (NIPDs), with a target to vaccinate over 2.2 million children under the age of five across the state.

Speaking at the launch in Miri Community, Bauchi Local Government Area, the State Commissioner for Health, Sani Dambam, said:
“The state government has put in place a comprehensive plan to ensure the successful implementation of the immunisation exercise, which will provide children with life-saving vaccines against killer diseases such as polio, measles, and others.”

The four-day campaign will see vaccination teams deployed to communities, schools, and health centres across the state. Special attention will be given to reaching “zero-dose” children those who have never received any routine immunisations.

The initiative is part of the state’s broader effort to strengthen routine immunisation services and reduce child mortality, while also boosting overall immunity among the child population.
