BBNaija to Elevates Women’s Voices with Empowerment Task, ‘Her Money, Her Power’

Big Brother Naija is taking an innovative step towards addressing gender inequality through a special task titled “Her Money, Her Power”, aiming to spotlight the critical issue of women’s economic empowerment.

As announced in a statement the task is a collaboration between The She Tank and BellaNaija as part of a broader initiative to promote financial independence among Nigerian women, leveraging BBNaija’s immense audience the campaign is aimed at fostering awareness and to spark discussions on gender equality.

Slated for Monday, September 30th, the task challenges housemates to engage with the barriers that hinder women from achieving equality, while also pushing them to come up with groundbreaking solutions for women’s economic advancement. With the highest prize of the season up for grabs, the housemates are expected to bring their A-game, both in terms of creativity and critical thought.

Olalekan Obisesan, Senior Campaign Advisor at The She Tank, highlighted the unique role BBNaija plays, saying, “The Her Money, Her Power campaign is leveraging BBNaija’s massive viewership to push crucial conversations about gender equality into the mainstream.”

“Media outlets, influencers, and NOIPolls will monitor the campaign’s impact, underscoring its significance. The task is expected to be both entertaining and transformative, drawing attention to the ongoing fight for gender equality in Nigeria.

“This landmark task signifies a pivotal moment in the fight for gender equality in Nigeria,” the statement reads.
