Benue State Governor, Rev. Fr. Hyacinth Iormem Alia, has forwarded the first batch of commissioner-nominees to the Benue State House of Assembly for screening and confirmation, in accordance with constitutional provisions.
The nominees in the first batch are: Hon. Theresa Odachi Ikwue, Hon. Dr. Benjamin Ashaver, Hon. Dr. Adamu Margaret Ijaguwa, Hon. Dr. Peter Oboh Egbodo, Dr. Yangien Timothy Ornguga, Hon. Denis Iyaighgba, Hon. James Dwem, and Dr. Paul Ejeh Ogwuche.
This was disclosed in a statement signed by the Chief Press Secretary to the State Government, Sir Tersoo Kula on Friday.
According to the statement, the submission of the nominees marks a significant step toward strengthening the machinery of governance and ensuring effective service delivery across various sectors.
Governor Alia reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to transparency, competence, and inclusivity in the appointment of individuals who will help drive his vision and mission for the state.
It further disclosed that a second batch of nominees is expected to be forwarded to the House of Assembly in the coming days.
