Big Brother Naija Season 9 winner, Kellyrae, has addressed the controversy surrounding his wife Kassia’s family discontent with their management’s decision to support him over her on the show.
During a post-eviction interview, Kassia revealed that her family was unhappy with the management’s choice, despite her own acknowledgement that it was the best decision.
In a recent interview with Naija FM, Lagos, Kellyrae responded to the criticism, saying:
“Yeah, they (Kassia’s family) are not happy. But they should understand that she is now married.”
Kellyrae emphasized that Kassia’s marital status should change her family’s perspective, implying that their unity as a couple should take precedence.
The couple, known as DoubleKay, had shared management going into the house but faced a challenging decision when Biggie unpaired the housemates, forcing them to compete individually.
Kellyrae’s management ultimately chose to back him, leading to Kassia’s family accusing them of favoritism.
Kellyrae and Kassia dated for ten years before tying the knot eight months ago. Their experience on Big Brother Naija has brought both joy and controversy, testing their relationship and family dynamics.
