A heartbreaking incident occurred in Osogbo, Osun State, where Bishop Shina Olaribigbe of Rapture Empowerment International was stabbed to death while attempting to mediate a fight between a couple.
The clergy had been counseling the couple, who were not officially divorced but lived apart due to their incessant fights.
The husband became enraged when he found Bishop Olaribigbe in his wife’s residence, leading him to stab the clergy in the chest, according to some close sources.
“”The bishop died instantly. The couple has been arrested and detained at the Dugbe Police Division in Osogbo.”
The Osun Police Command Public Relations Officer, Yemisi Opalola, confirmed the incident, stating that the husband acted on suspicion that the bishop was sleeping with his wife.
“Friends and acquaintances of the bishop have taken to social media to mourn his loss, expressing shock and sadness at the tragic event.”
