Bobrisky cautions Nigerians against spraying naira

A Popular social media influencer and Controversial cross-dresser and social media influencer, Idris Okuneye, known as Bobrisky, has cautioned Nigerians against spraying naira at parties unless they are prepared to face imprisonment.

Bobrisky issued this warning after regaining his freedom yesterday, following a six-month sentence in Kirikiri Prison, Lagos, for violating currency regulations by spraying naira notes at a party in April.

In a widely circulated video taken after his release, Bobrisky was seen leaving the prison in a G-wagon, accompanied by friends, including actresses Eniola Ajao and Moyo Lawal. During an interview with Goldmyne TV, the jubilant cross-dresser expressed his happiness at being free, stating, “I have missed you guys so much. I can’t wait to have you guys back. I’m here with love.”

Bobrisky emphasized the importance of adhering to the law, specifically advising against the practice of spraying money at social events. He warned, “Follow the rules, abide by the law. Don’t spray money, unless you’ll be a landlord inside Kirikiri. It’s not just about committing serious crimes; even something as minor as this can land you in jail.”

Looking refreshed and in high spirits, Bobrisky appeared ready to resume his previous lifestyle, as he was seen enjoying himself inside the car on his way home. His arrest and subsequent imprisonment were carried out by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) in Lagos, with the court handing down a six-month sentence without the option of a fine for his currency-related offense.
