Some Civil Society groups organized end of year party for students in IDP camp Kuchingoro, and called on all Nigerians to vote wisely in the forthcoming general election, while also ensuring to vote for the candidate whose blueprint resonates with the idea of a better Nigeria so as to enable a paradigm shift in 2023.
Sam Empowerment Foundation in association with its partners Felak, Bella, Daisy Oak Foundation, and Bakersville stated this at the end-of-the-year celebration with children from sharing prosperity nursery and primary school new Kuchingoroo IDP camp Abuja.
The Project Director of Sam Empowerment Foundation Mrs. Kiema Ogunlana said the voter’s card is the ticket to change the narrative in the country.
“Am urging Nigerians to vote for the candidate with the right idea, and not vote for the party. The citizen should vote for the candidate whose blueprint resonates with national development. We want to see a better country in terms of infrastructure. We want to experience a change in terms of health, finance, and education”, she said.
Ogunlana stressed that voting right is the obligation of all abiding Nigerians as the elections is fast approaching.
“For us to get it right in the next four years, we should not sell our votes to the wrong people. I want all law-abiding citizens to go to the nearest polling unit close to them and vote for the right candidate of their choice in 2023 to change the narrative. We cannot change the narrative by staying in our houses”, she said.
The Project Director commended the management of the school for volunteering their time and energy to ensure that the school is in good form.
“Christmas is a season of sharing joy and happiness, we thought it wise to end the year in celebration and to put a smile on the faces of the underprivileged during the Christmas season. We choose the school due to our continuous weekly social services with the students of the school for the past two years. We are here to dance and celebrate with the kids.
A Presenter with Women Radio 91.7 Fm Esther Manga, who also graced the occasion explained that “I could not resist this opportunity, am advising Nigerians to go and get their PVCs. Am appealing to all Nigerians to support the school with basic infrastructure.
