Dr Deji Adeleke, elder brother of Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke, has said he was confident his brother would emerge victorious in the Osun State governorship election.

Speaking in a video after the election, Deji said he had consistently prayed for the governor’s victory and protection, maintaining that he believed Adeleke would overcome his political opponents.

“I had no doubt in my mind that Ademola will win. Ademola will overcome,” he said.

Deji said he maintained a daily prayer routine for the governor, drawing inspiration from biblical passages, including Psalms 118 and 121.

According to him, his prayers centred on Adeleke’s safety, success and victory, as he sought divine protection for the governor against his political opponents.

He said he repeatedly prayed for those working against Adeleke to be defeated and for the governor not to be put to shame.

Deji described the election result as an answer to his prayers and called on supporters to celebrate the victory while giving thanks to God.

He also attributed Adeleke’s re-election to what he described as the power of faith and divine intervention, urging supporters to continue praising God for the outcome.
