The Economy and Financial Crime Commission (EFCC) has urged all Nigerians to beware of miscreants of cybercrime that will call for an upgrade from 4G to 5G.
The commission in a statement warned Nigerians not to fall into this scam.
The statement is as follows ” This is to inform all the citizens that the mobile SIM cards 5G service has started. This is something you already know, some miscreants of cybercrime will call your mobile and tell you to update your SIM card from 4G to 5G, and you will get an OTP. PLEASE DO NOT provide the OTP sent to you”.
” If you tell them the OTP number sent by them, they will transfer all the money in your Bank Account to their account, so please do not tell any stranger who asks for your OTP. “
