Emporium Leadership Lecture and Awards holds June 25 in Abuja

The Royalprince Media Services, publishers of Emporium Reporters, Emporium Magazine and Emporium Online TV, has announced that the maiden edition of the Emporium Leadership Lecture and Awards 2026 will hold on June 25, 2026, in Abuja.

The statement was signed by the Publisher/Chief Executive Officer of Royalprince Media Services, Lukman Laleye Babalola.

The event, which coincides with the 10th anniversary of Emporium Reporters, is designed to recognise outstanding leadership, institutional excellence and contributions to national development.

With the theme, “From Clicks to Credibility: Digital Media’s Role in Deepening Nigeria’s Democracy,” the lecture will examine the role of digital media in promoting credible information, responsible journalism, accountability and democratic growth.

The organisers said the event will be chaired by Chief Sunday Akinlabi Dare, CON, FNIS, Special Adviser to the President on Media and Public Communication, while Abdullahi O. Haruna Haruspice, Publisher of World Entourage Magazine, will deliver the keynote address.

It will also feature prominent guests, including Senate President Godswill Obot Akpabio, GCON; Minister of Information and National Orientation, Mohammed Idris; Director-General of the NYSC, Brigadier General Olakunle Oluseye Nafiu; Inspector-General of Police, Olatunji Rilwan Disu; Executive Secretary of the National Human Rights Commission, Tony Ojukwu, SAN, OFR; and Director-General of the National Orientation Agency, Lanre Issa-Onilu.

Other awardees include senior security officers, public servants, lawmakers, media professionals and private sector leaders such as CGC Bashir Adewale Adeniyi of the Nigeria Customs Service, Senator Francis Adenigba Fadahunsi, NUJ FCT Chairman Comrade Grace Ike, and several others recognised for service and impact.

Speaking on the initiative, Babalola said the awards reflect the organisation’s commitment to credible journalism and national development.

“The 10th anniversary of Emporium Reporters is a milestone that celebrates a decade of impactful reporting, public engagement and dedication to informing society,” he said.

He added that the event will also feature the unveiling of a special 10th anniversary commemorative edition of Emporium Magazine, documenting contributions of individuals and institutions across sectors.

The ceremony is expected to attract government officials, media executives, policymakers and stakeholders in the communications and development space.
