A devastating incident has occurred in Pakistan, where a father shot and killed his 15-year-old daughter due to her TikTok videos, which he deemed “indecent” .
The family had recently relocated from the US to Quetta, Pakistan, where the father, in his 50s, had settled with his family.
According to police chief Babar Baloch, the father confessed to the crime, stating that his daughter refused to dress modestly and continued uploading videos on TikTok despite his disapproval. The police are treating this incident as a case of “honour killing,” a practice where relatives kill family members to protect their perceived honour.
The Human Rights Commission of Pakistan reports that over 1,000 women are killed annually by their relatives in the name of protecting family honour.
