The Director of Diplomatic Legislation for the ODODO For Governor Solidarity Movement Kh. Suleiman Osikoyi has commended Kogi State Governor, His Excellency Alh.Usman Ododo for the ongoing distribution of essential provisions and financial aid by the current administration across the 21 Local governments of the state.
He also showed sincere appreciation to both the current administration of Kogi State, under the leadership of His Excellency Alh. Usman Ododo, and his predecessor, His Excellency Alh. Yahaya Adoza Bello.
“Both have shown unwavering commitment to addressing economic challenges and implementing effective policies, serving as beacons of hope for the state.”
Kh. Suleiman Osikoyi said the ODODO For Governor Solidarity Movement is at the
forefront of acknowledging the complexity of economic distress, and advocating for a blend of short-term relief measures and long-term structural reforms.
” We have provided comprehensive insights and actionable strategies to some of the challenges, from shrinking purchasing power to escalating unemployment rates, which necessitate a multifaceted and collaborative approach to resolution.
“We are drawing upon extensive diplomatic and legislative expertise, we underscore the pivotal role of informed engagement among opinion-makers and scholars. Their ability to spark meaningful discourse and sway public opinion toward supporting bold and transformative policy initiatives is paramount”, he said.
The Movement further added that inclusivity is central to effective economic policymaking, ensuring that the voices and concerns of all segments of society are genuinely considered.
“By actively engaging with marginalized communities, women, youth, and other vulnerable groups, we strive to foster equitable policies responsive to diverse needs.
“Additionally, we emphasize the significance of international cooperation in navigating economic challenges. Leveraging diplomatic networks and forging strategic partnerships.
We advocate for initiatives facilitating trade, investment, and sustainable economic development, benefiting both Kogi State and Nigeria at large.
“Transparency and accountability are indispensable pillars of effective governance. By promoting openness and robust mechanisms for accountability within government institutions, we aim to instill public trust and confidence in addressing economic challenges”, the group said.
Kh Suleiman Osikoyi further urged citizens to maintain unwavering faith in the leadership of the state and support policies aimed at confronting economic challenges.
“Through collective action, we can realize enduring economic prosperity and societal well-being for all in Kogi State.
The ODODO for Governor Solidarity Movement remains steadfast in advancing the welfare and prosperity of all citizens of Kogi State. By prioritizing collaboration, expertise, and the overarching interests of the people, we chart a course toward a more resilient and prosperous future”.
In the same vein, he lauded Governor Alh. Usman Ododo’s decision to appoint Hon. Deedat Salami and Hon. Fatimah Momoh as commissioners from the Okehi local government.
“This underscores his commitment to inclusive governance in Kogi state. Their appointments provide a direct link between the government and the people of Okehi, ensuring their voices are heard and their interests represented.
“This inclusivity fosters empowerment and engagement among residents, strengthening the bond between the government and the governed”, Kh. Osikoyi said.
He urged Okehi residents to rally behind Hon. Deedat Salami, Hon. Fatimah Momoh, and the APC government, by actively participating in the political process to contribute to the development and progress of their community and Kogi state as a whole.
“Together, with the government, they will attract more dividends of democracy, foster economic growth, and improve the quality of life for all citizens, building a brighter future for Kogi State”, he said.
