Group unveils 100 notable peace icon in Africa

An International peace-based organisation, Peace Ambassador Agency Worldwide has given a title “Peace Icons” to the Former President of Nigeria Goodluck Jonathan, Former Vice President Prof. Yemi Osinbajo, along with the President of Rwanda Paul Kagame, and Sultan of Sokoto Mohammed Abubakar in Africa.

Others  include Kenyan President, William Ruto, President of the African Development Bank, Akinwumi Adeshina; Chairman of United Bank of Africa Group, Tony Elumelu; Chairman Geregu Power PLC, Mr. Femi Otedola; President of LoveWorld Incorporated, Pastor Chris Oyakhilome; and the Sultan of Sokoto, Mohammadu Abubakar, among others.

Speaking at a press conference held in Abuja on Friday, during the unveiling of “100 Notable Peace Icons in Africa, the Project Director of the group, Ambassador Kingsley Amafibe said, among the peace Icons are Economist, Entrepreneurs, Activists, Religious leaders, Traditional rulers and others are given the title.

According to him, those given the titles are those recognised for their dedication in promoting peace and calmness in the continents, adding that they have helped to overcome challenges for a legacy that cannot be erased.

Speaking on how the organisation can be more calm and prosperous in Africa, Ambassador Kingsley announced the plan of the organisation to provide Scholarship to 20,000 indigent student across the continents.

He added that the scholarship program is designed to build and nurture the forthcoming generation of African leaders, making them equipped with the skills and knowledge required to make them grow being a form of transformation for the continents.
