Popular Nigerian Comedian Ayo Makun, aka AY, has said he will protect his daughter’s mental health due to rumours about his marriage saga.
In a recent news making rounds about his marriage hitting the rock, comedian AY in an Instagram post, acknowledged the rumours admitting to actions he is not proud to share.
“Many people believe that staying silent simply means that one is incapable of dealing with issues. Projecting a negative narrative against someone who is not struggling to defend himself doesn’t mean he is weak.
“Some of us are just logical enough to understand the difference between opinions, values, beliefs, and facts.
“The personality and ability that I possess simply confirm that I have reached that stage in my life, where I can not be entertaining the public with deep personal family issues. They just might be too much to handle concerning the individuals involved.
“Not even when I have a grown-up daughter who has access to social media. Her mental health needs to be protected from seeing things she can not be proud of online”, he said.
The comedian assured Nigerians that he is not ready to compromise his family values.
” It is one thing to watch my friendship/marriage of 20 years slip off my hands, but it is another thing for the parties involved to understand how to appropriate the blame in a space that is designed for most women to always play the victims and win.
” I can tell you for free that no one is completely innocent enough to cast stones. Presently, I am loving the way that lies about me in all these blogs are travelling faster than the truth”, he said.
AY further noted that the painful truth will beat away all the lies.
[09/04, 3:22 pm] Yemi: President Tinubu in his determination to upgrade health system in Nigeria, approved the establishment of the National Health Fellows Programme, which will engage young Nigerians to monitor and track Primary Healthcare Centre development and performance in the country.
The programme which will engage young Nigerian fellows in all the 774 local government areas in the country.
This was disclosed in a statement by the Special Adviser to the President, Media & Publicity, Chief Ajuri Ngelale.
The statement read, “In his determination to comprehensively upgrade existing primary healthcare centres and construct over 8,800 new primary healthcare centres across all local government areas in the country for accessible and qualitative healthcare delivery with the provision of new social accountability mechanisms, President Bola Tinubu has approved the establishment of the National Health Fellows Programme, with young Nigerian fellows to be engaged in all the 774 local government areas in the country.
“The well-trained fellows will serve as fiduciary agents to monitor and track Primary Healthcare Centre development and performance, which is to be assiduously measured against all financial inflows to the centres nationwide.
“The fellowship programme will be domiciled in the Sector Wide Approach (SWAp) coordination office under the Federal Ministry of Health and Social Welfare. The fellows will be recruited, renumerated, and equipped with appropriate tools to track the performance of Basic Health Care Provision Fund-supported health facilities across the nation.
“President Tinubu, who is the African Union Champion for Human Resources in Healthcare, places faith in young Nigerians, and expects that their engagement in this critical nation-building task, which also includes a daily monitoring and tracking of health reforms in their locations, will usher in a new era of world-class service provision to all Nigerians in every part of the country.”
