JAMB Clears Old WAEC Results, Orders Fresh Upload for 2025 Admissions

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has reset its admission processing system, directing all 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) candidates to re-upload their final West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WAEC) results.

The Board announced the directive in its weekly bulletin released on Monday, August 25, 2025, stating that all earlier O’level results uploaded to its portal have been expunged. This, according to JAMB, is to ensure that only the official and complete WAEC results form the basis of admission decisions for the 2025/2026 academic session.

“Some candidates who sat for the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination, UTME, with awaiting results had prematurely uploaded incomplete WAEC records before the final release. To address the issue, JAMB has mandated a fresh upload for every candidate, irrespective of whether the new results differ from those uploaded earlier,” JAMB explained.

The directive applies to all candidates, regardless of whether their latest results differ from those earlier submitted. The examination body emphasized that failure to comply with the new instruction may disqualify candidates from being considered for admission.

Candidates are advised to visit any accredited JAMB centre nationwide to carry out the re-upload immediately.
