Residents of Nnewichi Nnewi North Local Government Area of Anambra States are calling for a thorough investigation and justice for three siblings whose dead was found in a deep freezer in their home.
The children, a five-year-old boy and two girls aged seven and nine, and placed their bodies inside a deep freezer in their home.
The Nigeria Police Force have launched full investigation into the incident, with the Commissioner of Police, CP Nnaghe Itam, ordering the transfer of the case to the State Criminal Investigation Department in Awka.
The Police Public Relations Officer, SP Tochukwu Ikenga, confirmed the incident, stating that the bodies have been recovered.
The father of the deceased children went to Edo state, while the mother, Chikazor Ejezie, a lecturer and nurse, had gone out for an examination
The attackers struck while the children were eating, leaving behind plates of food that seemed to have been abandoned in haste.
The father added that When the wife got back, she didn’t see the children.
” She and others searched for them, even at the church where they served as altar boys and girls, but they weren’t there. Eventually, in desperation, they opened the deep freezer, and that’s where their bodies were found.”
