Hon Abdullahi Halidu Danbaba member representing the Kaiama/Kemanji/Wajibe state constituency and also chairman house committee on land, housing and urban development in the Kwara state house of assembly has expressed delight with the commencement of the long awaited Kaiama/kishi roads yesterday the 10 of April 2025.
He also appealed to the Minister of Works and Housing Engr Dave Umahi and the Minister of state works Hon Bello Muhammad Goronyo esq to let the completion of the first phase be extended to Kishi instead of Tese.
Hon Halidu commended President Bola Tinubu’s renewed hope agenda which kept it promise and assured the administration of the support of the good people of his constituency.
Hon Halidu emphasised that for long all the link roads from Kainji to Kaiama,Kishi to Kaiama and Kaiama to kosubosu have been in dilapidated state due to neglect.
He eulogized the enthusiasm of both Engr Umahi and his state minister Hon barrister Goronyo for upholding the renewed hope agenda of the Jagaban Borgu whose title emanated from one of the Borgu empires New Bussa in Niger state.
At this point in time, whether in legislature or executive we all need to join efforts inorder to make Mr President succeed Therefore the combination of the engineering skills of Umahi and legal expertise of Goronyo is making us have sigh of relief on road infrastructure.
” I also want to use this opportunity to implore the federal government to re award the Kainji Kaiama road abandoned for years going by the important economic and agricultural revenue generation it can attract for both the two states and federal government due to the agricultural activities there which is the main occupation of the inhabitants of the places.
“As it stands presently, the bad nature of the roads is depriving alot from both peasant farmers as well as commercial farmers. The wildlife reserves in Kainji and Kemanji as well as woro are not also left out. Then the state of the roads is also contributing to insecurity. Which reminds of of one of the delivered speeches of hon Goronyo in Kebbi during the ground breaking ceremony of the super highway that good roads can end insecurity because this non state actors take advantage of some bad roads to kidnap at will which is now happening in Kaiama and villages.
” Presently making it difficult for the inhabitants of the two areas in Niger and Kwara to move and travel.”
