A 38-year-old man, Gabriel Iliya Magaji, has reportedly took his own life due to his wife’s alleged infidelity.
The tragic incident occurred in the Karu Local Government Area of Nasarawa State.
The Nasarawa state Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Nansel Ramhan, confirmed this saying, “The pain of betrayal can be overwhelming, and it’s heartbreaking to see someone take their own life over it.”
He said the deceased body was found hanging in a classroom at Crystal School Masaka on Monday morning. The police have commenced an investigation into the matter, but no suicide note was found at the scene.
A Facebook post alleged that Magaji discovered his friends had been sleeping with his wife in exchange for money, leading him to take his own life. The police are working to confirm the details surrounding his death.
