NAFDAC attributes some road crashes to alcohol usage

The National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control(NAFDAC) have said some of the road traffic crashes is as a result of alcohol usage by the motorists because of its negative effects on sense of reasoning.

The Assistant Chief Regulator Officer, Investigation and Enforcement Department, NAFDAC, Apapa, Lagos, Mr Kazeem Adeniran, disclosed this while speaking with News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Friday in Ota, Ogun, where warned youths in the country against abuse of alcohol.

According to him, alcohol is one of the major causes of crime in the country.

Adeniran said “We are appealing to youths in the country to desist from abuse of alcohol because this could destroy their future,” he said.

He appealed to companies in the country to join hands with NAFDAC in the fight against abuse of alcohol.

Speaking further, he restated the commitment of the NAFDAC to intensify public enlightenment against abuse of alcohol in order to ensure sanity in the society.
