A Chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and Former governorship candidate in Ondo State, Olusola Oke, has praised the peaceful and orderly conduct of the ongoing Governorship elections.
He stated this shortly after casting his vote at Ilowo Unit 6, Olori Alufa, Ugbo Ward 3 in Ilaje Local Government Area, Oke.
He expressed his enthusiasm about the electoral process, saying,
“The election in my unit has been orderly; people came out very well, and they are showing enthusiasm.
This is the best election we have ever had in terms of peacefulness and orderliness .”
Oke attributed the people’s enthusiasm to their confidence in the incoming government, which he believes will make a positive impact.
He specifically highlighted Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa’s emphasis on agriculture as a key factor in the state’s potential prosperity.
“Agriculture was the basis of our economy in the Southwest, and the Governor’s effort to open up rural roads and provide high-yielding seedlings will make a significant difference,” Oke said.
The APC chieftain also commended the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) and security agencies for their performance, stating that
the Independent National Electoral Commission is already doing very well.
“The security agencies are also doing very well. My advice to them is to sustain what they have started to conclude it in a peaceful, orderly manner. I also congratulate the people of Ondo State for their enthusiasm.”
While urging them to sustain the peaceful atmosphere throughout the election process.
He congratulated the people of Ondo State for their enthusiasm and expressed optimism about the Governor’s victory, which he believes will bring development to the neglected riverine areas.
Oke, who has been a long-time advocate for the people of Ondo State, he had previously declared his intention to run for Governor, stating that it was his turn to lead the state.
“With his experience in politics and administration, he is confident that the APC will emerge victorious in the election. As the results unfold, it remains to be seen whether Oke’s predictions will come to fruition.”
