Osun State indigenes residing in Ondo State have declared their support for Agboola Ajayi, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate in the November 16 governorship election .This endorsement comes just days before the poll, as political parties intensify their campaigns.
Governor Ademola Adeleke of Osun State, who joined Ajayi on a campaign tour, urged his kinsmen to work towards the PDP’s victory, emphasizing, “We have brought light to Ondo State. If we trust in God, everything is possible.” He highlighted Ajayi’s experience, saying, “Agboola Ajayi has the experience, up to the grassroots. He would repeat the wonders in Osun in Ondo” .
Adeleke also noted that the Osun indigenes in Ondo State would enjoy more democracy dividends under Ajayi’s leadership. “All the things they didn’t do in 12 years, we have done in two years in Osun,” he stated .
Ajayi expressed gratitude for the support and promised to deliver dividends of democracy to all people living in Ondo State if elected. Kehinde Ayinla, Chairman of the Osun State indigenes in Ondo State, explained that their support for Ajayi stemmed from his understanding of the challenges facing the people and the state .
