PDP House of Reps Aspirant flays protest on Okowa to Efcc, describes it as opponents handwork

A respected Delta indigene who also contested for the PDP House of Representatives from one of the Delta federal constituencies, Hon. Oghenekaro Godfrey Emeurude has described as insensitive, misguided and rascality of the highest order the action of some paid faceless youths who claimed to be representing Delta youths, and protested to present a petition to the Economic and financial crimes commission EFCC.
Hon. Godfrey advised the Acting Chairman of the commission to ignore such manipulated petition by antagonists sponsored by failed leaders who wasted their time on Abuja politics which made Senator Okowa an edge over them.
He emphasised that the positive antecedents of  Okowa as a Senator made the then Governor Emmanuel Uduaghan favour him with the consent of electorates as a governor having performed meritoriously as a Senator of the Federal Republic.
The protesting faceless group alleged that Okowa misappropriated funds of the Delta oil producing areas developing authority and thirteen percent derivation fund.
“I  want to state clearly that all these are lies and fallacies. In a civilised state like Delta, a single Governor cannot divert funds without being noticed. The ignorant protesters forgot that there is a Nigerian financial intelligence unit and EFCC that works alongside commercial banks and CBN on the movement of cash.
If they don’t know, let them also be aware that Okowa as a trained medical doctor have integrity, pedigree and honour and cannot indulge in that. As a respected Delta indigene, I want to advise the opposition to face their inability to win Delta state even with their party at the central level.
The general public should ignore this campaign of calumny. Senator Ifeanyi Okowa is a non-corruptible leader and remains so”, he said.
