A gruesome discovery was made in the Marine Base area of Port Harcourt, Rivers State, when police officers forced their way into an apartment and found a decomposing body hidden beneath a bed. The victim, a young man, had allegedly been poisoned by his girlfriend in a fit of rage over infidelity.
Neighbors reported a terrible smell coming from the apartment, which led them to suspect something was amiss. When they tried to reach out to the victim, they received no response. The girlfriend, who had been acting suspiciously, refusing visitors and locking herself in, became the prime suspect.
The police were called, and upon entering the apartment, they were met with the shocking sight of the decomposing body. The girlfriend was arrested and taken into custody. The police are still investigating the circumstances surrounding the crime, but early reports suggest a heated relationship dispute may have led to the tragic event.
