Muntari Mohammed,the President of the Abuja Scrap,environmental waste and scavengers association was among the dignitaries honoured with the legend Africa excellence award at the hall 3 of novare centre ShopRite Abuja on the 13 of august 2026.
Presenting the award,convener of the programme innocent emphasised that the contribution of waste products and environmental waste in Nigeria through recycling which contributes to revenue generation and employment opportunities cannot be over emphasised hence the gesture of the organisation to honour Muntari amongst other well meaning Nigerians.
Innocent implored government at all levels to embrace the association and not ignore them because they are legally registered and monitor members and also ensures that they don’t engage in vandalisation of critical government infrastructures.
In his response,Muntari expressed delight with the recognition and appreciated the convener of the award and assured of taking further steps to enhance recycling through waste products.Muntari also used the opportunity to call on Nigerians to change the negative impression they have against some of the members as the organisation has been doing it best to sensitize them against vandalizing critical infrastructure.He calls for collaboration and partnership from critical stakehokders.
