In a bid to redefine the concept of success, Pastor Dr. Anietie Ukpe of Insight Bible Church, Abuja, has emphasized the need for Christians to live an impactful life rather than solely pursuing wealth.
Speaking at a recent Success Seminar, Pastor Ukpe noted that Christians should leave a lasting legacy in every area of life.
“The world’s definition of success is often misguided. Success is not about having money. Success is about leaving positive legacies. Success is about influence and impact,” he said.
Citing Jesus Christ as an example, Pastor Ukpe highlighted that true success is not measured by material wealth.
“Jesus Christ, when He was on earth, was not the richest man in the world at the time. He was not even the richest in Jerusalem. But nobody could doubt that He left the greatest impact and the greatest influence in time and in space.”
Pastor Ukpe stressed that the message is timely, especially in today’s materialistic world.
“The world has become too materialistic. We forget that history is not about rich men, but about people of impact who influence trends in society and change the course of history.”
He urged Christians, especially young people, to understand that life is not just about accumulating wealth, but about helping others and creating a positive impact.
“You can beat people up with your words, or you can lift them up. Life is about lifting people up. Never look down on anybody except you intend to pick him up.”
The call to action, according to Pastor Ukpe, is simple: “Do all the good you can, wherever you are, and to whomever you can.”
The success seminar, organized by Insight Bible Church, Abuja, is aimed at guiding Christians in pursuing success God’s way, not the world’s way.
