The Ogun State Police Command has declared popular singer Habeeb Okikiola Badmus, known as Portable, wanted over allegations of leading a violent attack against government officials conducting an enforcement exercise in Ota, Ogun State.

The incident, which occurred on February 5, 2025, involved officials from the Ogun State Ministry of Physical Planning and Urban Development, who were reportedly assaulted while performing their lawful duties at Odogwu Bar, a property linked to the singer.

According to police reports, Portable allegedly confronted the officials with a firearm and was accompanied by nine others who participated in the attack. While his accomplices have been apprehended, the singer has evaded arrest, prompting the police to seek a court order declaring him wanted.

“Following his repeated evasion, the Ogun State Police Command has obtained a valid court order declaring him wanted,” the statement read.

Efforts to reach Portable through formal police invitations have been ignored, with authorities now calling on the public to provide information on his whereabouts. The police have also issued a stern warning that anyone found aiding or sheltering the singer will face legal repercussions.

The case has since been escalated to the State Criminal Investigation Department as law enforcement intensifies its search for the controversial musician.
