Following four months’ withheld salaries of the Senior Staff Association of Nigeria Universities, SSANU, and the Non-Academic Staff Union of Universities, NASU, they have gathered in Abuja for a nationwide protest.
The union claimed that after President Tinubu had ordered affected staff to be paid four-month salaries, the wages were not paid, while ASUU members were paid.
The protesters were said to have gathered at the Unity Fountain for a national protest while the securities blocked the entrance to the premise.
It was reported that the union are also demanding for renegotiation of the 2010 agreement with the Federal Government among others.
Recall 2022, SSANU, NASU and the Academic Staff Union of Universities embarked on a long strike.
